Woman to Woman Mentoring Participants

Woman to Woman Mentoring was awarded a $25,000 General Grant to assist with operating costs to continue to refine and grow their programming to meet the ever-changing demands of women in Frederick County. The organization connects women and provides them with opportunities to succeed through various mentorship programs.

Mentorship is especially important for women right now. As a result of COVID, Woman to Woman Mentoring is seeing an increase of women that are struggling and ready to take action. This includes ALICE families, single mothers, and first generations students. Funding will assist in supporting the increased demand for mentoring over the upcoming months.

Participants are also experiencing job loss, struggling to complete their education plans and are in need of guidance, support and connections. Woman to Woman Mentoring’s programming established mentors for these women who are able to support them as well as a community of fellow mentees who are experiencing similar situations to connect with. These relationships have made such difficult times manageable for many participants.
