Ausherman Family Foundation supported The Frederick Center with a $15,000 General Grant to enhance operations and fulfill several goals of their strategic plan. They identified a key goal is to provide affirming safe spaces for LGBTQ+ peers and their families for educational and behavioral health support. A second goal is to provide research, advocacy, training, and education to the broader community in order to help make central Maryland a more affirming community. A third goal is to serve as the go-to source for information about and perspectives of the LGBTQ+ community. 

The Frederick Center organization and volunteers are active in our community as catalysts for several events as well as hosts of several weekly programs and support groups. Key events include Frederick Pride, Welcoming Frederick, Carnival and Ally of the Year.
