Rendering of Simon Turner Memorial Park featuring a splash fountain.
The mission of the Simon Turner Memorial Garden is to provide an inclusive space that appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds. A virtual public information meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 28 at 6:00 pm to share what has been accomplished to date and hear the community’s feedback as the project continues to move forward. Attendees will hear from the Turner family as they present three potential site plans for a Memorial Garden featuring Frederick’s first splash fountain in honor of their son, Simon. The design concept plan was developed by Mahan Rykiel Associates, Inc. for an inclusive and flexible amenity. Public opinion and feedback will be gathered regarding the project and selection of the location. The team is excited to share what they have been up to and hear the community’s feedback.
Stay tuned for a survey to provide additional feedback following the public meeting.
