Ausherman Family Foundation is joining The Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs to support one of the largest current unmet needs in our community. Most recently, a $40,000 General Grant was awarded to support operating expenses and costs of homelessness prevention programs. Funding was also provided through a Capacity Building Grant of $20,000 to support Leadership Development Training for their staff.
The Religious Coalition’s Emergency Family Shelter Program is for local homeless families with children. It provides a safe, warm place to stay for families to stay overnight as well as resources and case management to help them exit homelessness and move to permanent housing. Adults are required to engage in case management support to expedite return to stable housing through household budgeting and financial literacy.
