The Public Art Archive, a international platform, is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and its newest edition features public art from Frederick. An Elusive Kinetic Portrait by Marguerite de Messières and Tsvetomir Naydenov, one of Frederick’s Kinetic Art Sculptures in Carroll Creek will have a prominent spot on the map.
The map is part of a series called Have You Seen my Public Art?, which started in 2013. The organization’s goal is to make public art more freely available and accessible by digitizing works of public art around the United States and the world.
This newest version features 144 pieces across 50 states, including 176 unique artists and studios. The finalists were selected from over 500 total submissions.
