The Mental Health Association (MHA) hosted the Annual Catoctin Affair as a drive-in style benefit concert featuring live music by The Reagan Years at the Frederick Fairgrounds. In an effort to maximize and encourage fundraising, Ausherman Family Foundation announced a $25,000 matching general grant during the event. Every dollar donated would be matched by the Foundation. The Mental Health Association utilized a texting feature to give and attendees watched the donation thermometer climb quickly on the large screen. The matching goal of $25,000 was exceeded in less than 15 minutes! The inspiring program under the stars was also filled with stories of transformation and a celebration of our community’s support for mental health.
Proceeds from the event go directly to support MHA’s Call Center which which is building a strong foundation of emotional wellness for the whole community by preparing resilient children, securing vulnerable families, and standing with people to face crises together.
