Shari Scher of COIPP created daily “Read Aloud Videos” for children to enjoy storytime during COVID-19
Ausherman Family Foundation supported Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership (COIPP) with a $7,500 General Grant to support integration of a new database system. A part-time technology support person will be contracted for up to one year to assist COIPP in integrating the system, helping to manage the database, and train select members to take over database management moving forward. Building COIPP’s capacity to manage the system after that year will benefit their community work by assuring the collection of consistently accurate data on services and children and families, tracking cases, improving the management of grants and reporting, and seeking and recognizing donors.
Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership’s mission is to foster strong, resilient, hopeful children who are impacted by the incarceration of a loved one. They provide support, resources and services for the children, their caregivers and present and formerly incarcerated family members in the Frederick region. Programming is also provided including Sharing Fairs, Caregiver Workshops, Parenting From Afar Class, monthly children’s activities, and more.
